About You - Who are we looking for?

The role of Campaign Director includes a range of skills, and we realise that no single candidate is likely to have extensive experience of all of them. • Influencing EU institutions
  • Digital fundraising

  • Growing online communities
  • Tech and Innovation
We are on the lookout for a Campaign Director who can offer:
  • Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in leading and executing digital campaigns
  • Understanding and insight into community-led campaign models - which means you’ll also need a willingness to put your own opinions aside if they diverge with the priorities of WeMove Europe members
  • Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in a leadership role - formal or informal - ideally within a campaigning organisation, non-profit, or social enterprise, including a track record of being an effective line manager

  • Ability to develop campaigns, fundraising, comms, and growth strategies that can work across multiple countries, operating on an EU and national level. • Experience in developing and using political insight, good judgement, relationships, and nous to shape campaigns to have the best possible political impact
  • Ability to navigate and analyse data and use it to inform campaign decisions. We’re not looking for deep data expertise, but do want to see whether you’ve got a track record of getting hold of data, getting to grips with it, and using it to help you make better decisions.
  • A track record of getting to grips with tech tools, and confidence in learning how to use them. You don’t need to have used specific systems before, but we want to see that you’re able to learn new tech skills, and approach the challenge proactively.
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into whatever is needed to succeed a campaign. This is a leadership role that often involves being hands on
  • A passion for social justice, activism, and European-level policy change.
  • Fluent or C2 in English (additional European languages are a plus).
